Why InterviewCastle exists

InterviewCastle was built for working technical professionals who receive a decision after an interview, but little useful understanding of what the conversation showed.

InterviewCastle began with a question about what candidates are left with after the interview.

The problem candidates are left with

The decision reaches the candidate. The reasoning usually does not.

After a technical interview, a candidate may receive a short rejection without a reason. Sometimes there is no reply at all.

What remains unclear is often more useful than the decision itself: Was the technical understanding unclear? Was personal ownership hidden? Did the answer need stronger evidence?

The turning point

Divya initiated the conversation. Anoop recognised the problem immediately.

Divya spent almost 1.5 years researching the post-interview feedback gap and building InterviewCastle with Anoop.

Anoop could relate to the problem because he had seen the same pattern across 20+ years of technical and leadership work. Together, they developed the discussion flow, follow-up method, verbal feedback and written brief as one connected experience.

Before launch, pilot sessions helped test and improve the complete evaluation experience.

What we built

A feedback loop around your real interview experience.

InterviewCastle is a live technical evaluation, not a hiring verdict. It gives the candidate an outside view of what their answers made clear and what still needed evidence.

Live discussion

Talk through real technical work and answer follow-up questions.

Immediate feedback

Hear the evaluator’s observations at the end of the session.

Private written brief

GateMark includes a written brief within 48 hours.

The evaluator behind GateMark

GateMark was created by someone who has spent 20+ years making technical decisions.

Anoop M C created and authored GateMark, and currently conducts every InterviewCastle evaluation. His experience spans individual contributor, Vice President and fractional CTO work across startup, fintech and enterprise environments.

His work with production systems, distributed architecture, engineering leadership, QA and DevOps shaped a practical way to listen for what an answer proves.

What GateMark examines

Six parts of an answer. One clearer picture.

GateMark follows the evidence inside a technical story, so the candidate can understand what was clear and where the next question may begin.

  1. SituationWhat problem were you dealing with?
  2. DecisionWhat did you choose and why?
  3. OwnershipWhat did you personally do?
  4. EvidenceWhat showed that it worked?
  5. Trade-offWhat did you accept?
  6. ResultWhat changed afterwards?

The service boundary

A feedback loop, not a hiring promise.

InterviewCastle provides feedback on technical interview answers. It does not provide placement, referrals, jobs or selection guarantees.
